Hi!
I have been thinking, i am looking for peoples with great and very cool radiophonic voices (men and women), to do radio advertisements as jokes (in the GTA style), and to do the Radio DJ (with jokes,in the GTA style), you can suggest your playlist along your jokes.
It is ok even if it is just to do NPC voices jokes (in the GTA style).
You can even suggest about names for radio stations, and LOGO too!
All kind of jokes (in the GTA style) are welcome.
Names for cars, NPC, etc, are also welcome.

Now, maybe you have the voice, but you do not have the jokes, or ,
maybe you have the jokes, but you do not have the voice.
Submit your stuff anyway! someone else will certainly use it, someday.

Now, all that is left is to find some way for peoples to upload their "stuffs" (texts, pictures, mp3, etc),
There has to be a way to "handle" all thoses datas, in a easy gui way!
tell me ideas if you have some.
bye

Here 4 free words in .ogg: yes, no, oui, non
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1f1rgBXAbkeP3g9Y9Z6F70D71GYHex5bc?usp=sharing

I have already explored and created an SFX class to hold the special sound effect metadata. Check metadata images: metadata.png and easytag.png

Here an example of use:

sfx `EMotorDoor` (SFX) {
desc="Electric Pneumatic Sounds";
title="EMotorDoor";
copyright="https://www.partnersinrhyme.com/";
link="http://www.freesoundeffects.com/free-track/emotordoor-426770/";
changes="Modified, converted version from .wav";
licenses="For personal use only";
file=`sfx/EMotorDoor.ogg`;
tags="www.partnersinrhyme.com,sfx,electric,pneumatic,motor,door,noise,movement,elevator";
}

I have also created an scrolling HUD effect to display credits based on the SFX metadata. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6UrpTIDPWknUm5oQ1NWT0FfdXc/view?usp=sharing

I have also modified the Grit Blender Add-ons to add tags fields and the Grit Editor browser to search tags in class, SFX ...
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6UrpTIDPWkndU5Wbzh2TG5nTUE/view?usp=sharing

I am planning to create an import tool for audio files: .mp3, .ogg, .wav with metadata to create SFX class.

Is there MANY tutorials easy to follow??

Under Linux I used Libre-Office Writer and typed one word/sentence per line with font size set to 48.
I inserted carriage return before the text to have only the first line visible at the bottom of the screen.
I set the cursor to the top.
Then used Kazam to define a record area that capture only the bottom line screen.
Started Kazam in image capture, used delete key to remove the carriage return, this permit to scroll up exactly one line then redo image capture...
Started Kazam in video capture video/audio in .mp4 pronounced each line and used after Audacity to split, export and set basic metadata into a .ogg
Used Easytag to set image and the remaining metadata.
Then created a SFX class with appropriate info, saved the class name with extension .lua

ex. filename: Yes.lua

ex. file content:

sfx `Yes` (SFX) {
desc="English base words, 2017";
title="yes";
copyright="Copyright (c) François Dorval";
link="mailto:fdorval@hotmail.com";
changes="First release";
licenses="CC0";
file=`sfx/yes.ogg`;
tags="lavrod,sfx,voice,english:yes,french:oui";
}

WOW! Thanks!
SOO!, Thats how you do that!, Then now, let's suppose that a person has a bunch of .ogg files with a .svg Logo and a text file ( a list of .mp3), does that person have to learn SVN or GIT (and to install any of thoses 2 softs in his pc , and does that person need to be register on the grit forum), to be able to upload his stuff, (where does he upload his stuff?), does he need a ftp client soft?

The code (engine) and data (objects) are separated, which is a good thing.
The C++ code is under git
and
the data(.lua scripts, classes, .meshes, textures, ...) is under svn media directory.

The core C++ Game Engine is under git and your voices provider shall not be concern with it.

The svn media is already to big and svn does not handle well binary files diff.

I doubt that web site hosting capacities allows heavy videos, sounds and images download/upload.

I have already worked to downsize the svn media directory by moving or purging unused stuff.

Sources files: .blend, .max, .egg ... used to build .mesh files shall be moved out of media directory.

Current Grit games demos shall be less coupled together and download-able separately and probably self contains.

So we need to find a storage solution for:
objects: maps, games, scenarios, events, modes, ...
videos: tutorials, game intro, ...
sounds: voices, sfx, musics, ambiances, ...
images: textures, .blend, ...
and more!

You do not know if it will work or not, unless you try your best to do it

Thanks for your answer lavrod,

So, is this the kind of a server where someone can upload 17 differents maps (created
with Grit (of course). Mmmm! let's suppose; a Futuristic world map, a Jungle of the
south world map, a Western world map, a After the end of mankind world map, a desertic
world map, a real life actual world map, a zombies world map, a prehistorical world
map, a forest of the north world map, a weird stange funny world map,
a cartoons looking world map, a all under water world map,
a floating in mid-air world map (with islands floatings in mid-air),
a knights and horses world map, a kind of like World of Warcraft world map,
a magicians world map, a monsters world map,etc...

Then, you just have to download and install a client on your pc,
and you can connect to and enter one of thoses world map and join the ongoing deathmach, or start a new one,
or you can upload your own world map created by you to that server and invite others to join you inside it.

In each of theses world maps, there is (at least) one (or many) portal(s) (for instant
teleportation to another world), and when a player goes through one of theses portals,
he is instantly teleported to that other world while keeping his appearance, his
moneys, weapons, health levels, vehicules, and everything else.(NPC can not travel to
other worlds maps)

And, naturally, there is a possibility to create missions and storys (that can spread
over many worlds map), that someone can play alone against the cpu.
Man, if something like that was possible, it certainly would be totaly insanely
awesomely cool.

Not the games codes, maps or objects, textures, sounds, movies... (big data)

But the games you play with your scores, the positions on your maps, the objects that you possess. (small data)
The logics and infrastructures to control and regulates the multi players behavior and/or actions.

From https://heroiclabs.com/nakama-vs-firebase/
Nakama doesn't store asset files directly. Instead you can store a version-specific manifest which lists all files and the link to download the files from cold-line storage such as an S3 bucket from AWS for over-the-air updates.

Thanks! for your answer lavrod,

AAWWWN man!
I really really reaalllly! wish that Grit will work in a server and client way,
(You know, kind of as in like Mediaportal does, that when you start the installation program,
you can choose from seting up;
just a server (that client will connect to, but you do not want to play),
just a client (you will need a server adress to connect to, in order to be able to play),
or, a server and a client (both can be on the same pc) , or server can be on the same lan,
or server can be on a ip adress on the web.
That would be sooo! cool!
I believe that someday, Grit will be up there, along side with Blender,
Apache, Gimp, Scribus, and all the others legendary GNU softwares
making the world a better place to live in.

It's there or almost there.
At least I have it on my system.
You can start two Grit on same system if your PC is power full.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y1ZhFnhzfnZeAtC8FsnfxrKV4GBGjASi/view?usp=sharing
I was thinking of a simple demo, like a tank duel game.
But before this I need to finish Zerobrane Debugger support.
Then finish and debug the cannon tutorial.
To be able to reuse the cannon for the tanks game.
And maybe add the Nakama support.
Definitely need help.
