My opinion of using Grit for actual production is very possible. I have made many games already using Grit. I feel like most game engines spoon feed you how to make your game. Grit on the other hand is so extensible and makes it so easy for someone like me to make things that are not possible with other game engines like Unity.

Now if we compare it to a game engine like Unreal, Grit can not compete as it is for graphics. So if you would like to make a game that does not require much computing force and good graphics, Grit has the capability. If you are looking for something a little more realistic, or is more optimized, why not go ahead and download the source files and help our current contributors make Grit Engine faster and look better.

Every year I jump onto the source and fix a lot of bugs and help optimize the engine. I even have made a few things that are used in Grit Engine daily. So by no means I am not a project manager, but if I had to say that Grit Engine needs help anywhere, I would start with making the project look more final. Maybe having the engine and some demos that are ready to download and play. I would love to be able to go over to a developer buddies' house and quickly download an executable within a zip file (Obviously for the Lua scripts unless we can somehow pack Lua scripts in an executable) in order to show him the engines capabilities.

And now I just realized this post was from September 27 of last year.
Either better late then never, or I did not want to delete this awesome piece of text that just took me 15 minutes to think of a conclusion.

Peace out.
